What is meant by access sequence? When it is used?

Access sequence is search strategy which searches valid condition records from condition table for
condition types. If we want to make the condition type independent then we assign access sequence to it so that it will fetch the value from condition tables. But we don’t assign access sequence to dependent condition types because they take value from the independent condition type on which it is dependent. For example PBOO is an independent condition type so it will fetch value from the condition table related to info record. Then other dependent condition types related to surcharge, discount will take the value from PBOO.

What are the types of special stocks available?

Special stocks are stocks that are managed separately as a result of their not belonging to your company or being stored at a particular location.

Example:

E Orders on hand
K Consignment (vendor)
M Ret.trans.pkg vendor (RTP)
O Parts prov. vendor
P Pipeline material
Q Project stock
V Ret. pkg w. customer
W Consignment (cust.)
Y Shipping unit (whse)

In consignment processing, the vendor provides materials and stores them on your premises. The vendor remains owner of the material until you with draw material from consignment stock.

In subcontract processing the vendor receives child materials with which it produces parent material.

In stock transfer, transfer of material from one plant to another plant with stock transport order.

In Third party processing you place an order on vendor to deliver goods to customer.

In Returnable transport packaging in which goods can be transported more than once between vendors.

Pipeline material is a material that flows directly into the production process from a pipeline (for example, oil), from a pipe (for example, tap water), or from another similar source (for example, electricity).

Stock that is used for a sales order. It is directly allocated to a sales order.

Quantity of a material which is held in stock for the completion of a project. The project stock is allocated to a work breakdown structure (WBS) element. Components can only be withdrawn for the WBS element.
