What is meant by scales? Can scales be used in standard purchase order?

By using scales we can fix the price of a material accordingly. For example: we can fix the material price based on the quantity like.

For quantity 1 to 100 price is Rs100
For quantity 101 to 200 price is 90,

We can't use scales directly in PO, we can pull it from purchase info record (ME11) to PO.
