What is a "reference
purchase organization"? When can it be used?
It is basically an organization that
is referenced by other purchasing organizations. This way the enterprise can leverage
the benefit of centralized purchasing.
Where do you maintain
the multiple units of measures in "material master"?
Base unit, order unit and issue unit
conversion can be maintained in additional data tab in "material master" basic
data view.
What are all the levels
at which info records are maintained?
"Purchasing info record" can be
maintained at client level (General data), purchase organization level,
combination of purchase organization level/Plant level. When you create PO the
system searches for an info record for the "purchase organization"/Plant
combination only. If there is no info record, the system searches for the
purchase organization only.
What is meant by "consignment stock"?
"Consignment" stock is a special type of Vendors stock at our Premises or our custody at the time of Goods Receipts, stock is updated but stock value will not update. Vendor liability is not generated. At the time of goods issue to consumption, accounting document will be generated.
