What is document type, and what does it control? Examples.

In SAP system document types are used to classify the various document. To retrieve the data or document easily, we need to maintain or assign number range for them.

Document type controls the: ---

a) To which accounts line items are posted.

b) Controls the number range.

c) Negative postings allowed for particular document type.

d) Reversal document type.
